First owner Dr. Harriet Lawrence, per city directories, she lived there from approximately 1923-1945 and owned from 1923-1948. "At one time she kept 200 guinea pigs in her garage on Peacock Lane for making serums to probe the mysteries of nature." (Oregonian 12/9/1963). It is likely that this house is individually eligible under Criterion B for the association with Dr. Harriet Lawrence.
